Al Surair: 80% of the services of the Industrial Services Center of the industrial agency are provided electronically.

              The Director of the Industrial Services Center of the Industry Agency at the Ministry of Energy, Industry and Mineral Resources in the Eastern Province, Eng. Rafat Al Surair said that any industrial license issued by the Agency has several advantages, (customs exemption, industrial land acquisition, consultancy, letters of support and industrial loans) to other advantages.
    Eng. Rafat Al Surair said in a workshop organized by Asharqia Chamber represented by the Industrial Committee on Wednesday (May 3rd, 2017)  regarding the services provided by the Industrial Services Center. The committee chairman Abdullah bin Ali Al Sanea said that the industry is an important choice for the  country to find jobs, progress and support of foreign trade. He added that for this reason, the government is supporting the industrial sector by providing industrial land at reasonable prices. The factory is also allowed to invest industrial land in a field related to industrial activity (such as warehouses and supporting services) Ministry of ocial development, and letters of support of  government, and applications for industrial loans provided by more than one party, including the Industrial Development Fund, as well as consulting, offering a special discount on ads for factories in the media of up to 50%.
    He pointed that the most prominent of these services is the customs clearance for machines, equipment, spare parts, raw materials and semi finished products, on condition that they do not have a local alternative, they should be within the factory needs and have a direct relation to production, which allows to provide accurate descriptions so the clearance can be obtained.
    He added that one of the services provided by the center is "chemical clearance", which relates to certain activities, as getting a customs clearance does not mean obtaining chemical clearance through a number of concerned governmental bodies such as customs, industrial security, drugs, the General Authority for Meteorology and environmental Protection, and our mission is to provide a letter relating to these entities in order to give chemical clearance to the materials.
    Also added that the services provided by the Center as well as industrial following up as they are communicating with the factories to assess the needs of labor, machinery, equipment and raw materials, and guidance factories for some safety observations, and the inventory of actual products that the establishment produce.
    He said that 80% of the center services are electronic, including the issuance and renewal of licenses. The modification or expansion of the license is submitted manually and currently completed soon, while applications are submitted to support the employment, customs clearance and customs disclosures electronically, noting that the initial license granted to any investor The acceptance of the final license will be done only in the establishment and in the advanced stages of the establishment  with bank credits at a minimum, and the approval of the authorities for some activities, such as food factories need the approval of the General Assembly of food and medicine, and military clothing require the approval of the Ministry of the Interior and so on, therefore, the final license is only with the  approval of the concerned party.
    He stressed the need for factories to update their data annually at the Ministry location, in order to enjoy the continuity of services required by the center, and the need to follow the user guide to facilitate the use of electronic services, stressing the Center keenness to support the industrial sector in all circumstances.
